Openers

1.Jasmine stepped out into the polluted and dusty cool air of tokyo, Japan. She pulled the collar of her jacket closer to keep the chilly air out; a new life in the county of the rising sun awaits.

 5.A wolf’s howl, frightening under the pale moon’s watch, yet a beautiful cry. A summon for the twilight beasts.

6.Josephine waited impatiently for the pedestrian light before her eyes to flash a signal of clearance, however was greeted by a cheeky man’s grin on a lorry passing by.

 7.Geraldine scanned through a vast sea of penetrating “eyes” staring right though her already shaking body.  She felt her heart, mind and soul drain from her body, a life of shame lies ahead.

8. Staring at the pinkish petals of cherry blossoms falling from the azure sky, it felt like falling pink snow on Caroline’s soft skin. “SNAP!” clicked a sound from afar.  

9. Darren took my breath away, when he stepped on dog shit to smell that way. He ignored that horrible stench that followed like glue, he even stepped on some random person’s shoes.     

10.A birthday song, a birthday present and a birthday cake with half a century egg. “HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY” cheered mr.lim’s friends.

11.Max reached for his cigarettes at the back of his pocket; with a frustrated sigh he took a puff of his cigarettes and watched the think grey smoke drift and die.

12. A hooded figure with a stick in his hands walked along the streets of nighttime, he neither needs the guidance of the moonlight nor the streetlights. All he ever needed was…

With the exception of Number 12 (which is an incomplete sentence, not an opener) and number 10 (which has no action in it at all), most of your openers are pretty good, I’d say. I really like Number 3 and 4. Well done!
